How it all began...
Back in 2015 I had some surgery to my feet which required 6 months recovery time. I am usually a busy bee and had been teaching full-time right up until the week before my surgery. In this time I learnt to knit socks and crochet but my love has always been sewing. So, I got the sewing machine out of the back of the wardrobe and I had a go at creating some artwork from fabric. Loved it and so did my friends, from there came the idea to start my etsy shop. I came up with the name and sketched some logo ideas but then found myself plunged into other commitments as soon as well enough 7 jobs -CornishStitches went on hold. Fast forward almost 5 years to 2020 and lockdown begins. As a teacher ~ I continued to work full-time from home, but now home had become work I found it hard to switch off at the end of.
